After joining NexaBiome Ltd. as the bioinformatician in 2023, Paolo contributed to phage therapy research via the design and optimisation of standard operating procedures for viral and bacterial DNA isolation, Oxford Nanopore Technologies-mediated in-house DNA sequencing, and in silico genomic analysis of bacteria and bacteriophages.
Via his NexaBiome sponsored PhD in computational biology and genetics at the University of Strathclyde he is implementing machine learning-derived in silico approaches to support research at NexaBiome Ltd.
Paolo enjoys playing musical instruments and practicing sports in his spare time.
